Preview how a title and description could appear on desktop and mobile, with pixel-width feedback.
Used to build the breadcrumb line shown above the title.

This is an approximation. Widths are estimated from average character widths, and a search engine can show a different title or description, add a date, or change the layout entirely.
What This Tool Does
The snippet preview shows how a page title and meta description could look in a search result, on both a desktop and a mobile layout. It measures the text you type in characters and in approximate pixel width, because search engines truncate on width rather than on a character count.
Everything runs in your browser. The text you type is never sent to this website, and nothing is stored unless you choose to save the result to a project.
How to Use It
Fill in the three fields and watch the preview update as you type.
- Enter the page URL so the breadcrumb line reflects the real address.
- Write the title you plan to use and watch the width indicator.
- Write the meta description and check that the important part appears before the truncation point.
- Switch between the desktop and mobile tabs, since the available width differs.
- Use the copy buttons to move the final text into your CMS or SEO plugin.
How the Tool Calculates or Retrieves Data
Character counts are exact. Pixel widths are an estimate: the tool measures your text with the browser Canvas API using a font stack close to the one search results use, then compares the result with the width commonly available in desktop and mobile layouts.
Because the estimate depends on the fonts installed on your device, treat the width figure as a guide with a small margin of error rather than an exact measurement.
Understanding Your Results
A title or description inside the width guide is unlikely to be cut off. One that exceeds it will probably be truncated with an ellipsis, so anything essential should appear earlier in the text.
Warnings point out text that is very short, very long, or missing. They describe risk, not a rule.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not necessarily. Google frequently generates its own title or description based on the query and the page content. A well-written snippet increases the chance yours is used, but no tool can guarantee it.
Truncation happens at a width, not a character count. A title full of narrow letters fits more characters than one full of capitals, so pixel width is the more reliable signal.
No. The preview is calculated entirely in your browser.
